ATHLETES of the WEEK - February 25, 2013

	Nordic Skiing Ashley Forshey Freshman, Scotia, NY Ashley Forshey posted a pair of wins this past weekend at the USCSA Regionals held at the Ethan Allen Biathlon Center, helping Clarkson advance to the USCSA National Championship next week in Sun Valley, Idaho. Forshey recorded her first win of the weekend in the 1.5K Sprint. In Sunday's 15K Skate, Forshey recorded her second victory, winning the lengthiest event in 55:06.

	Alpine Skiing Austin Florian Freshman, Southington, CT Austin Florian tied for fourth in his one run in the slalom and led a strong performance by numerous members of Clarkson as both the men and women came in third place in the slalom at the USCSA Eastern Regionals held at Mount Abram. Florian led the Golden Knights with a fourth-place showing with a time of 49.27 seconds.

	Women's Hockey Erica Howe Junior, Goaltender - Ottawa, ONT Erica Howe allowed just two goals in the Kmights' weekend road sweep that clinched second place. She became the first visiting goaltender this season to record a win at Bright Hockey Center, making a career-high 39 saves in Saturday's 3-1 win at Harvard. Howe made 31 saves, allowing just a power-play marker in Friday's 3-1 win at Dartmouth.

	Men's Hockey Mike Garlasco Junior, Forward - Mahwah, NJ Mike Garlasco scored his first goal of the season for the game-winner and added an assist in Friday's 4-0 victory over Dartmouth.

	Swimming Jon Ketcham Freshman - East Aurora, NY Jon Ketcham saved his best for last at the UNYSCSA meet, coming in 16th in the 200 breaststroke to highlight the Golden Knights performance on Saturday at the regional meet. Ketcham placed 11th in the preliminaries with a time of 2:13.22, but saw his time fall off by close to a second (2:14.16) in the finals to fall to 16th overall.
