Junior Kirstie Shurie (LaCanada, CA) joined former teammate Xiao Liang and Sara Artus among Clarkson Volleyball players to earn recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as a member of one of the top three All-American teams, earning AVCA Second-Team All-American honors. Shurie, named the Hoboken Regional Most Outstanding Player, was one of 10 setters in the country to be named to one of the top three teams and matched Liang for the highest honor yet received by a member of the Golden Knights program as a Second-Team member. Shurie ranked eighth in the country in assists per set (10.99), helping to lead an offense that ranked 28th in the nation in kills per set and sixth in the country in hitting percentage. Her 10.99 assists per set are a single-season record for Clarkson.
