The Clarkson University Athletic Department recently installed its customized sport court for the volleyball program. Mateflex, a company out of Utica, NY, is one of several companies that put in bids to provide the court, and the 4,557-tiled court was installed on Monday, August 11th. It is the first semi-permanent court for any program at Clarkson, and the court has padding underneath to help reduce injuries. The court will also help alleviate practice time issues once the basketball pre-season begins as it can be moved to other facilities on campus. The customized court was made with specific colors and size in mind as well, and the court is similar to the one that is used each year when the eight NCAA Regional Champions meet at the final site for the NCAA Quarterfinals, Semifinals and National Championship matches.
