SOPHOMORE YEAR (2023-24):  Trey is the reigning ECAC Defenseman of the Year and was named an ECAC 2nd Team All Star…Was selected the Team’s Best Defensive Player in 2023-24…Will be a captain this year for the Knights…Led the team in shots (86) and blocked shots (65)...Led all defensemen on the team in points with 4 goals and 13 assists…Tops on the team in +/- with a +20 (12 points ahead of next best skater)...Named ECAC All Academic.

FRESHMAN YEAR (2022-23):  Trey skated in 36 games for the Knights, scoring 3 goals and adding 5 assists...First point came with an assist against Mercyhurst on 1022...Scored his first goal at Lake State on 10/29...Scored 2 power play goals on the season...Named ECAC All Academic.

The back of the Hockey Card: Trey is a 6’2 left shot defenseman from Richmond, British Columbia…Trey was
a 3rd team all star in the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms, where he recorded 44 points in 55 games.  Played the previous 3 seasons with the Vernon Vipers in the BCHL...In those 3 seasons he increased his point production per game each year with the Vipers.

Get to know Trey:  Son of Mervyn and Julia Taylor…Brothers, Ty, 23, Played 3 years at UNH as a goalie from 2018- 21 and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning, & Tate, 18, plays right defense for the Surrey Eagles & Teyce, 15 wants to be a pilot, he also plays hockey and likes to cook…Will start as an undeclared major in the Reh School of Business…graduated from South Delta Secondary School in 2020…Enjoys Golf, Tennis, & Spikeball… Has Canadian and Great Britain citizenship.
