Jake Mir

Jake Mir enters his fifth year with the Clarkson University Athletic Training Staff.
 
Jake was promoted to the interim Head Athletic Trainer in 2021. His primary duties include working with the Golden Knights' Division III athletes and supervising the sports medicine department. He previously worked with the men's hockey, golf, and women's lacrosse programs.
 
A native of Fabius, NY, Mir graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. He also earned a Master of Arts degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a Specialization in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2017.
 
Prior to Clarkson, Mir served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of North Carolina, where he worked primarily with Women’s Volleyball and the 2016 National Champion Men’s Lacrosse programs.  He also worked in the UNC Campus Health Physical Therapy Clinic and was the head athletic trainer for UNC Volleyball and Lacrosse Camps in 2016.
 
While at Ithaca College, Mir also served as a student athletic trainer for the Cornell University Men's Hockey team during the 2014-15 season.
 
Mir is a CPR instructor for the American Red Cross. He holds additional certifications in Graston Technique (M1, M2) and is a certified Full Body and Long Nerve Entrapment practitioner for Active Release Techniques (ART®).
