Biography

AT CLARKSON (2011-15):  A talented offensive force with a goal-scoring touch … Skated in 136 games recording 34 goals and 32 assists … Tallied seven power-play markers and five game-winners.

SENIOR YEAR (2014-15)—Led the Golden Knights in goals with 12 and was second in points with 20, playing in 32 games … Scored one power-play marker and tallied one game-winner along with posting a +3 plus/minus rating … Closed out collegiate career on a five-game point-scoring streak with four goals and four assists … Tallied twice in 5-0 win over RPI in Game 2 of conference first-round series at Cheel Arena … Opened season with four points in weekend sweep at Niagara (10/10) with a goal and an assist, and at RIT (10/11) with two assists … Connected for game-winning goal in 4-3 victory over AIC (12/30) … Netted Clarkson’s second goal in 2-2 tie at St. Lawrence (10/31) … Set up two goals in 3-3 tie at RPI (2/27) that clinched a home-ice berth in ECAC Hockey playoffs … Selected to ECAC Hockey Honor Roll twice (10/14, 3/1) and named to ECAC Hockey All-Academic team.

JUNIOR YEAR (2013-14)—Provided a productive offensive contribution at times with 17 points on six goals and 10 assists through 36 games … Came through with three game-winners … Was selected as the recipient of Clarkson’s North Country Award, presented to the Golden Knight who distinguished himself during the season series against archrival St. Lawrence … Was the only Knight in the balanced efforts to record multiple points in both wins over the Saints with two assists in the 5-4 win at Cheel (12/6) and the game-winning goal and an assist in the 4-3 victory in Canton (12/7) … Scored the game's lone goal with 9.9 seconds left in overtime to lift the Green and Gold past Colorado College (10/26) at Cheel … Also scored game-winner in 2-0 victory at Niagara (10/6) … Scored Clarkson’s first goal in 2-2 draw at Rensselaer (2/22) that help the Knights secure the fifth-place seed for the ECAC Hockey playoffs … Set up two goals, including on the game-winner, in 3-2 victory over Cornell (11/15) at Cheel ... Named to ECAC Hockey weekly Honor Roll twice (10/29, 12/10) ... Named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team. 

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2012-13)—Clarkson’s leading goal scorer with 13 … Also added four
assists for 17 points in 32 games … Tied for team-lead in power-play goals with four … Recorded the Knights’ first hat trick in over two years with three goals in 5-1 win at Harvard (1/25) and also added an assist for four-point effort … Posted eight points (5-3) in a four-game span (1/25-2/1) … Had a pair of two-point games with a goal and an assist in 7-2 win over Princeton (11/17) and in 4-4 tie vs. Colgate (2/1) … Selected ECAC Hockey Player of the Week (1/28) and named to the league’s weekly Honor Roll once (12/3) ... Named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team.

FRESHMAN YEAR (2011-12)—A talented offensive player who led the Knights rookie forwards in scoring with 12 points on three goals and nine assists through 36 games … Began his collegiate career with a power-play marker and one assist in opening game of the season, a 4-4 tie at Alaska-Anchorage (10/8) … Also recorded two points in 5-3 victory at St. Lawrence (12/6) with the game’s first goal and an assist on his brother Matt’s winning tally … Set up game-winner in 2-1 victory over Colgate at Cheel Arena (2/18) … Twice named to the ECAC Hockey weekly Honor Roll.

BEFORE CLARKSON—Played in all 50 games during the regular season for 2011 OJHL Champion Wellington and was the Dukes’ second-leading scorer with 62 points, including a team-high 33 goals … Netted eight power-play markers and seven game-winners (tied for second most in the OJHL) … Posted seven points (4-3) in five playoff games.

PERSONAL—Son of Deb and Mark Zarbo ... Born on August 10, 1991... Shoots left ... Communications major ... Is the youngest of three brothers, including former Golden Knight forward Matt Zarbo ... Oldest brother Mark played at Rensselaer ... Also enjoys Motocross.
