Biography
SENIOR YEAR (2022-23): Did not play due to injury...Named ECAC All Academic.
The back of the Hockey Card: Dominique will be a graduate transfer right shot forward from Hermosa Beach, CA….Last season with the Harvard Crimson she had 9 goals and 12 assists in 26 games…In 2019-20 season led the Women’s Hockey team in Points per game and assists (1.25 and 23, respectively) and was named to the second Team All ECAC and second Team All-Ivy League…During the COVID year that Harvard did not play she was the Assistant Coach for the LA Lions & Western Selects (summer team) in 2020-21 made it to USA Hockey Nationals…As a player with USA Hockey, Petrie played 3 years on u-18 women's world championship team. 2017, 2018, 2019. 2x Gold Medalist (2017 and 2018) and Silver Medalist (2019)…Named Team Captain of u-18 Team in 2019 and Alternate Captain in 2018…Named MVP of Gold Medal Game in 2018…Selected for the U-22 Summer Series in 2019 and U-23 Development Camp in 2021…Player in National Team Pool (attended 2019 winter camp, 2020 October Camp, 2021 March Camp, 2021 Pre Worlds Camp, 2021 Olympic Camp).
Get to know Dominique: Daughter of David and Jo Ann Petrie… Father was a collegiate tennis and soccer player at the University of Evansville. (NCAA soccer Final Four appearance in 1985)…Guy Petrie, brother, attended University of Utah and played ice hockey there. He is the reason why she got into hockey. Huge San Jose Sharks fan. 24 years old and now working full time as an analyst and part time for the LA King….She also played Tennis (played varsity all 4 years in high school. Ocean League Champions in 2015.) and Basketball (played Varsity 3 years in high school. 2x CIF Champion 16-17 & 17-18. Second Team All CIF in 2016-17)…Also enjoys Pickleball & Spikeball, biking along the beach, cooking, discovering new music…Will be working on her Masters of Business Administration…Graduated from Harvard University in 2022 with a concentration in Economics and secondary in Psychology…While at Harvard she was the President of SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee), Academic All Ivy League 2020…Graduated High School from Beverly Hills High School where she was an Hall of Fame Inductee in 2019, the Don Reynolds Memorial award recipient in 2018, 4 times Female Athlete of the Year (2014-2018) & 8 times Principal's Honor Roll.
