Biography

JUNIOR YEAR (2023-24):   Haley Winn was selected as an All ECAC Second Team All Star, a Second Team All USCHO and Second Team All American...Haley was the teams assist leader with 29 (12 of those on Gosling's 14 goals) and tied for the team high in points with 39 points in 38 games...Was a +23 and had 4 power play goals on the season...Winn also missed 2 games when she was selected to play for Team USA in the US-Canada Rivalry Series in December...Then after the season was over, Winn treated 3,128 fans at the Adirondack Bank Center to a two goal effort in an opening game win for Team USA 4-0 over Switzerland at the World Championships, in Utica, NY...She finished with 3 points in 7 games and came home with her 2nd medal in World Championship play (Gold in 2023, Silver in 2024)...Winn was also named to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicator Academic All-District At-Large team, an ECAC All Academic, and AHCA Academic All American.

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2022-23):  Had an exciting year, helping TEAM USA win gold in the 2023 World Championships...Also skated in the USA v Canada Rivalry Series for Team USA...Skated in 38 games for the Knights, scoring 6 goals and 17 assists...Was a +20 on the season, tops for defense...Had 2 goals against Maine on 11/26...Scored a goal and 3 assist vs Union on 1/14...Named ECAC All Academic.

FRESHMAN YEAR (2021-22): Emerged as one of the top young defense in the league...5th on the team in scoring with 7 goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 37 games...Had a goal and an assists in her college debut vs Sacred Heart...Had a 2 goal game against Brown on Feb. 12th...Named to the ECAC All-Academic Team and a Krampade Academic All American...Named the Clarkson Rookie of the Year and Sword award winner...Selected to skate for the 2022 USA Women's National Development Team.

Before Clarkson:  A right shot defense, Winn played for Selects Academy at Bishop Kearney for the last four seasons.  Was a member of U18 Women’s National Team 2019 (silver medal), U18 Women’s National Team 2020 (gold medal), U15 National camp (2019), USA Select 70 Camp (2020), USA National Festival (2019, 2020).

Personal: Daughter of Janet Winn and Mike Winn...Haley has 3 older brothers: Casey, Ryan, Tommy and all 3 are playing college hockey at Brockport, Bowdoin, and Geneseo respectively....Enjoys Lacrosse, hiking and the outdoors...Dad attended Clarkson ('93) and played a year of baseball...From Rochester, NY...Born July 14, 2003...Graduated from Bishop Kearney High School in 2021...Psychology Major with a minor in Biology.

Why Haley chose Clarkson:  "I chose Clarkson because of the high level hockey and schooling as well as the campus environment. As soon as I visited it felt like a tight knit community and I’m so excited to be a part of it."  Also recruited by Wisconsin, Colgate, Penn State, Princeton, & Quinnipiac.
