Biography

SENIOR YEAR (2023-24): Nicole was named an ECAC First Team All Star, being selected as a unanimous selection, along with First Team All-USCHO, and First Team All American and the ECAC Defender of the Year.  Nicole Gosling was the only unanimous selection for the ECAC First Team All Star, as she co-led the Knights in scoring with 39 points in the 40 games.  Her 14 goals was tied for the team lead, 9 of those goals were on the power play last season and lead the team with 5 game winning goals. Gosling had a +24 rating, leading the team with 80 blocked shots.  Nicole joined Team Canada at the World Championships in Utica where she played in all 7 games and helped Canada capture the Gold Medal.  Nicole was an ECAC All Academic, and AHCA/Krampade Academic All American.

JUNIOR YEAR (2022-23):  Named Second Team All-ECAC...Played in 40 games, scoring 6 goals and adding 20 assists...Had a 3 assist effort in a 5-0 win over Dartmouth (12/3)...3 of her 6 goals were on the power play...Had game winning goals over Harvard (12/2) and SLU (1/21)...Led all D in shots on goal with 121...Named ECAC All Academic.

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2021-22): Was named ALL ECAC Pre-Season First Team...3rd leading scorer with 30 points in 37 games...8 goals were tops among all Defense...2nd leading player in assists on the team with 22...Season high in points came in a 7-1 win over Princeton (1-3-4)...+15 on the season...Named to the All ECAC Second Team and ECAC All-Academic.

FRESHMAN YEAR (2020-21):  Had an exceptional rookie campaign, where she was named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team and an ECAC First Team All League selection...Finalist for Rookie of the Year and Defenseman of the Year...Leading scorer among D with 4 goals and 10 assists in 19 games...Leading scoring defenseman in the ECAC with 14 points...10th best in the nation for rookie point production and tied for top defenseman in rookie points...Named to ECAC All Academic Team.

WHY CLARKSON"Clarkson proves a great balance between academics and athletics to help me achieve my goals in both. The small campus and coaching staff made it very welcoming with me when I stepped on campus, as well made it feel like home away from home.  Also recruited by Ohio State.
