The Clarkson University Athletic Department is pleased to announce the addition of Chelsea Lake as the volleyball program’s top assistant for 2016-17.

Lake, a 2016 graduate of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI, replaces Annie McShea, who finished her two-year stint at Clarkson in May and moved on to Millikin University.

Lake, who graduated with a degree in Business Management and minors in both Psychology and Communications, played a variety of positions in her collegiate career at Cornerstone, but excelled during her senior campaign when she was chosen as an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention. The 6-0 outside hitter led the team in kills (403), hitting percentage (.284), digs (507), and aces (57). That performance netted her AVCA/NAIA All-Region honors, WHAC First-Team All-Star honors, and Cornerstone University’s Female Athlete of the Year. She finished her career with 1092 kills (10th all-time at Cornerstone), 139 aces (ninth), 1495 digs and 155 blocks. Overall, she was named WHAC All-Conference on three occasions and also earned WHAC All-Academic honors in her final two years at Cornerstone. During her four seasons, the Golden Eagles compiled a record of 102-45 (.694 winning percentage).
