GOLDEN KNIGHTS AND NAZARETH PLAY TO SCORELESS TIE
Freshman goaltender David Hennessey (Wading River, NY) needed to make just three saves to record his first shutout, but the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team couldn't put any shots into the net as the Golden Knights and Nazareth College played to a scoreless tie, 0-0, Saturday afternoon at the Golden Knights' Clarkson Field.
The Golden Knights, who moved to 1-1-2 on the season, recorded eight shots but none of them were on goal. Nazareth freshman goaltender Alex Kilroy Smith (Spencerport, NY) recorded his first career shutout in the game as well, but did so with zero saves.
Clarkson returns to action next weekend when they visit Cortland at 4 pm on Friday, September 12th.
