CLARKSON RALLIES FOR TIE AGAINST BC

Lake Placid, NY - Stephanie Hansen (Calgary, ALB) and Kira McDonald (Pickering, ONT) combined to make 22 saves while allowing one goal as the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team salvaged the opening weekend of 2005 with a 1-1 tie against Boston College Sunday evening.

The Golden Knights moved to 6-6-5 on the season and Boston College went to 5-11-2 with the tie.

After falling behind 1-0 through the first period, sophomore Christine Bailkowski (Aurora, ONT) scored on a power-play goal to knot the score up at 1-1. Classmates Ashley Shaidle (Hudson, OH) and Jill Nolan (Labrador, NF) each tallied assists on the goal.

Clarkson out shot Boston College for the second straight day, owning a 31-23 advantage through 65 minutes of play.
