KNIGHTS ELIMINATED FROM ECACHL PLAYOFFS WITH 3-1 LOSS TO CRIMSON

Cambridge, MA - Sophomore Christine Bailkowski (Aurora, ONT) broke a scoreless streak by the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team against Harvard, but the Crimson ended Clarkson's season on Saturday with a 3-1 win over the Golden Knights in the second game of the ECACHL quarterfinals.

Clarkson ends their second season of competition with a record of 13-17-6. The fifth-ranked Crimson, who won the ECACHL Regular Season title, moved to 22-6-3 overall.

The Golden Knights had a better showing against Harvard on Saturday afternoon as they were out shot 36-17, a 19-shot improvement from Friday's contest. Nicole Corriero scored Harvard's lone goal in the first period, but the Crimson controled play in the second period with two more scores for a 3-0 lead. Katie Johnston and Ashley Banfield each added goals for Harvard in the middle frame.

Bailkowski scored her power-play marker at the 5:18 mark, an unassisted tally, for her 10th goal of the season.

Sophomore goaltender Kira McDonald (Pickering, ONT) made 33 saves for the Golden Knights and Ali Boe stopped 16 shots for Harvard. Over the two-game series, McDonald stopped 82 of the 90 shots she faced.
