Over the weekend the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team suffered a pair of losses against SUNYAC opponents, but the Golden Knights will be challenged by a different conference on Saturday when they face the Empire 8's Utica Pioneers.

The Series: The two teams have played four times in the 21st century, accounting for the entirety of the series. Clarkson has won the past two meetings, beating the Pioneers on a penalty kick in overtime back in 2017 and gaining a 2-0 shutout victory in Potsdam last September.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-2-0): The Golden Knights have plenty of scoring experience on the roster against the Pioneers. John Furcick scored the game-winner in overtime in 2017 and was accompanied by Mack Walton on the scoresheet, while last year Henry Gomez and Stephen Klimek each scored goals. Aidan Subra assisted on the Gomez goal in 2018, and he and classmate Erick Naula are tied for the team lead in scoring with two goals apiece.
