Oneonta, NY – Senior Danielle Martin scored in the final minute of regulation to help the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team salvage a 3-3 tie against Oneonta State in the first game of the Mayor's Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Despite seeing their winning streak come to an end, the Golden Knights remained unbeaten at 3-0-1 heading into Sunday's game against Hartwick.

The Red Dragons took the lead in the early going as Christina Kornfeld scored unassisted at 26:59, but it was in the second half where the offensive fireworks got rolling. Clarkson's Camryn Careccia scored on a penalty kick at 48:26 and Megan Murphy tallied on a shot from outside the penalty area at 57:20 to give the Knights the lead.

Oneonta scored twice late in the second half, as Abby Ousouljoglou found Emma Kirkpatrick with a cross at 76:32 to tie the game and then helped the Red Dragons take the lead with a goal of her own on a shot from outside the box at 87:32. Such a late goal usually holds up, but Martin scored on a direct kick at the 89:08 mark to tie the game at 3-3.

Oneonta finished with a 17-9 lead in shots, though the margin was closer when considering shots on goal (10-8). The Red Dragons also possessed a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks. Elyse Green made seven stops for Clarkson while Claire Lepper made five saves for the Red Dragons.
