The games following a tough Friday night battle can often be traps for a less than full effort based on the energy expended the night before.  This was not the case tonight as the Knights exploded for 8 goals from 6 different goal scorers to finish off the weekend 8-3 over Princeton.
Clarkson held a 2-1 lead after the first off of goals from
Anthony Romano and
Alex Campbell.  In the second period,
Mathieu Gosselin put the Knights up 3-1, then Campbell got his second of the game, and
Ayrton Martino tallied his first collegiate point with a shot just under the crossbar to give Clarkson the 5-1 lead after two.
In the third Romano got his second of the game to make it 6-1 and the teams traded goals from there to finish with an 8-3 final.
Zach Tsekos and
Nick Campoli scored the final two for Clarkson, who improves to 7-4-2 on the season.
Ethan Haider finished with 24 saves on the night.  Clarkson held Princeton 0-2 on the PK and went 1-4 on the Power Play.
The Knights will head to Wisconsin after classes this week to take on the Badgers of the Big10.
