After almost a three week break from games, the Knights were eager to get back on the ice for Senior Night for the class of 2021.
The Knights came out firing early and held an 8-1 shot advantage at one point in the first period. Neither team was able to score in the first,
Michelle Pasiechnyk made XX saves in the first period. Â
The second period opened with St. Lawrence jumping out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Gabi Jones and Melissa Jefferies. Clarkson was able to pull to within one goal, when Patty Kaz Nominee,
Caitrin Lonergan scored her 13th of the season at 16:42. Â
In the third, SLU jumped out to a 3-1 lead :40 sec into the period, but Clarkson fought back with a goal from
Nicole Gosling at 3:15, from
Brooke McQuigge and
Elizabeth Giguere. Then the Knights tied up the game at 14:45 when
Gabrielle David scored from Giguere and Gosling. Â
The Knights lost the face off in OT and never regained possession, which lead to Julia Gosling scoring the game winner for the Saints :45 sed into the extra session. Â
Pasiechnyk ended the night with 23 saves. Â
The Knights will travel to Appleton on Sunday and Monday to finish out the season. Â
