Wellesley, MA – Although the peripheral numbers were fairly even, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team found itself on the short end of a 3-0 defeat against Babson College, the team's lone match of the weekend.

The Golden Knights saw their record evened at 2-2 with the loss, while the Beavers improved to 2-2. Clarkson will host Cortland State next Friday evening at Hantz Field.

Babson struck twice in the opening half, with the first goal coming off the foot of Morgan Krauss at 17:14 thanks to an assist from Kate Ryan. Nineteen minutes later, Natalie Knauff cut back and side stepped a Clarkson defender, delivering a shot to the top left corner at 36:33.

The Beavers added an insurance goal in the final 10 minutes when Caitlin Trott picked up a cross from the right wing near the stripe inside the penalty area, delivering the goal at the 80:17 mark.

Babson led in shots (15-11) and had five corner kick chances to Clarkson's two. Molly DiCaprio made three saves for the Knights, while Morgan Fedosiewich denied three shots for her first shutout of the year.
