The Knights and Bobcats needed more than the sixty minutes tonight to decide the game and power play goal that trickled under
Michelle Pasiechnyk was the difference tonight for Quinnipiac.
In the first period the Knights fell behind on a a Taylor House power play goal at 6:01. The score remained that way until 2:16 of the third period when
Jenna Goodwin was able to bring the Knights even,
Laurence Frenette assisted on the goal. Â
In the extra session Clarkson got possession, but a chip out of the zone led to a controversial holding call on
Caitrin Lonergan, giving the Bobcats a power play in OT. In the 4-3 power play the Knights had a few clears, but a seeing eye point shot made it's way into the net and Quinnipiac earned the OT win.
The Knights still get a league point for the OT loss.
Pasiechnyk made 33 saves, while the Knights sent 34 shots on goal.
Clarkson will host Princeton tomorrow at 3:00 pm. Youth Hockey Weekend continues, any minor hockey player 8th grade and younger will receive free admission to the game.
