The Clarkson Golden Knights will open the home portion of their schedule with an exciting weekend at Cheel Arena, which will see the Knights honor their 6 Olympians on Saturday. Tonight the Knights, (2-0) face off against Bemidji St (2-0) at 6:00 pm.
The Knights will get some additional help in the line up tonight as
Nicole Gosling will be back on the point and
Sara Swiderski will also get her first action as a Golden Knight. Swiderski, a defense from Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna, played a key role when she helped Team Canada win the 2022 U18 World Championship. Sara was named to the all tournament team and named Top Defense of the tournament. She is a right shot Defense and played 2021-22 for Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna Female U18 Prep where she collected 12 goals, 25 assists, for 37 points in 33 games. Gosling who missed the first two games at Sacred Heart is one of the Knights Assistant Captains and has 56 career games with 44 career points.
The Knights went out to Minnesota last year to face Bemidji, settling for a tie and a 1 goal loss. The Knights are 4-1-1 all time vs the Beavers.
Tomorrow, the game will start at 2:00 pm with an autograph session before with the Olympians and a ceremony to honor them after the game.
