The Series: This will be the first meeting ever for the Golden Knights against both Kalamazoo and Amherst.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-6): Coach Sherry Dobbs hopes that the break will help reenergize the Green and Gold as the team's offense struggled after the Thanksgiving break. The Golden Knights began the season averaging close to 70 points per game in the four contests before Thanksgiving, but after the break Clarkson has produced only 44 points per contest, though the team did rally to surpass 60 points against St. Lawrence on December 6th. Junior Cassidy Dumont leads the team at 16.5 points per contest and has scored in double figures in all eight games. The Knights have three players averaging more than 31 minutes per game, and each is shooting at least 73% from the free throw line.

Key Stats for Kalamazoo (2-8): The Hornets will have their game legs under them a bit better than Clarkson, as Kalamazoo has played five games in December, including four contests since Clarkson last played. The Hornets picked up their first two wins of the season against Defiance (December 16) and Dominican (December 19) by allowing less than 50 points per contest. It was a much needed change for the Hornets, as they were giving up just under 80 (79.5 points) per game through the first eight of the season. Three players are scoring in double figures for the Hornets, led by first-year Ruby Hogan at 12.5 points per game.

Key Stats for Amherst (7-0): The Mammoths jumped into the national rankings in early December and are currently 22nd in the latest WBCA poll. Amherst is outscoring opponents by an average of nearly 24 points per game, giving up only 43.9 ppg, a figure that is currently second in NCAA Division III. Opponents are shooting just 28.9% from the field, 21.5% from the 3-point arc, and 55.1% from the free throw line. The Mammoths also force 19.3 turnovers per game. Amherst is led by a pair of guards with Kori Barach (13.3 ppg, 7.4 rpg) and Reeya Patel (12.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg) contributing in all facets of the game.
