The Clarkson Golden Knights will head to the ECAC Championship game for the 7th time in their 19-year history today when they face off against Colgate at 4:00 pm in New Haven, CT.
Clarkson earned their spot with a thrilling 4-3 double OT win over the top seed Yale yesterday.Â
Brooke McQuigge, and
Anne Cherkowski both scored and a two-goal effort from
Stephanie Markowski propelled the Knights to the win 30 seconds into OT # 2.Â
Colgate downed Quinnipiac 5-1 in the evening semi-final to earn a repeat bid to the Championship game. Clarkson faced Colgate in the 2018 ECAC Title game, winning that game 3-0 at Cheel Arena.Â
Gabrielle David earned an assist on McQuigge's goal to open the scoring against Yale and with that point now moves into 8th place all-time and just 1 point shy of tying for 6th all-time on the Clarkson career points list.
Today's game will be streamed on ESPN+ and Stretch Media for International Viewers. With a win, Clarkson would claim their 4th ECAC Tournament Title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
