The Clarkson Golden Knights open their 20th season of hockey with consecutive shut outs (5-0,3-0) of Merrimack.
Nicole Gosling paced the Knights with two goals and 2 assists,
Dominique Petrie had 4 assists, while Pasiechnyk and Minotti combined for two shut outs.
Clarkson got balanced point production, with 13 Knights getting on the scoresheet, including
Dominique Petrie and
Laurence Frenette, who were out last season and newcomers, Alexie Gauy,
Rebecca Morissette,
Keira Hurry, and
Shelby Laidlaw
The ECAC awarded 3 Knights with weekly awards,
Keira Hurry was named Rookie of the Week, Dom Petrie was Forward of the week, and
Nicole Gosling was defender of the week.
The Eagles will be playing their first game tonight, led by 17th year Head Coach, Katie King. All time the Knights are 5-7-3 vs the Eagles and 3-2-2 at Cheel. The last time these teams met was a memorable overtime game in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
