The Series: The Golden Knights shutout Rutgers-Newark 3-0 back in 2016 in the only meeting between the two teams. Clarkson has never faced CWRU.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-0): The Golden Knights have allowed just 10 total shots in the first two games, with only five making their way to goalkeeper Molly DiCaprio. The junior has posted a pair of shutouts in the early going, the 10th and 11th of her career, making her the fifth Clarkson keeper to reach double figures in that category. The all-time mark was set by Elyse Green just a few years ago (16). The Knights have scored four times in two games, with Maddie Lopol accounting for two.

Key Stats for Rutgers-Newark (2-1): A pair of late goals sent the Scarlet Raiders to their first defeat of the season on Wednesday. Newark returns most of its top scorers from a year ago, though they have yet to come through with a goal thus far. Vielka Fernandez and Xiomara Rivera are tied for the team lead with three points thanks to a goal and an assist apiece, leading a run of six different players to have scored. Katie McLaughlin has allowed three goals on 28 shots on goal for an .893 save percentage.

Key Stats for Case Western Reserve (2-0): Last year's national runner-up, CWRU is facing fifth-ranked Misericordia before taking on the Golden Knights on Sunday. The second-ranked team in the preseason poll, the Spartans return four of their top seven scorers from a year ago, including Helina VanBlibber, who tallied 10 goals and four assists for 24 points. She and two others, Maggie Farra and Carolyn Koutures, account for CWRU's three goals in 2023. Maggie Storti posted eight shutouts a season ago with a 0.68 goals against average and .813 save percentage, recording all 20 of CWRU's victories and just a single loss with one tie.
