At home for one and on the road for two, the Clarkson University Volleyball team has a busy weekend ahead as the team hosts Plattsburgh State on Friday before heading to Geneseo for a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon.

The Series: The Golden Knights have losing records against all three opponents, but have dominated two of them in recent years. Clarkson trails by nine in the all-time matchup against Plattsburgh State, but have won 12 straight dating back to 2006. Versus SUNY Geneseo, Clarkson is only 6-11, but have won five straight, including a sweep in 2022. Scranton leads the series against the Knights 4-2, with the most recent match a sweep in favor of the Royals.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-7): Off to a strong starter in her senior season, Allyson Treichel leads the Liberty League in hitting percentage at .377 and also has the top figure in kills per set for the Golden Knights at 2.67, just ahead of Marin Hangliter's 2.61 kills per set. Anna Mayer is posting solid numbers at 5.69 assists, 0.47 aces, and 2.72 digs per set, while Abigail Spector leads the conference on defense with 5.27 digs per set.

Key Stats for Plattsburgh State (1-8): Liya Girma leads the team in a handful of categories, including kills per set (3.00), digs (3.23), and aces (0.57). No one else on the squad averages more than two kills per set, though Darby Collyear is close at 1.93 kps. Kyleigh Ganz (4.03 assists per set) and Anabella Almeida (3.95 aps) split setting duties. The Cardinals haven't offered up much of a block thus far, averaging less than a block per set as a team.

Key Stats for Scranton (4-5): The Royals are off to a relatively slow start compared to the past three seasons, two of which resulted in NCAA appearances while the third ended in the Landmark Conference championship match. Deanna Whelpley leads the team with 3.34 kills per set while also adding in 2.31 digs per set. Erin Keaveney (2.43 kps) and Sophia Hadjiyane (2.16 kps) also contribute to the offense and Camryn Hoffman averages 4.13 digs per game.

Key Stats for SUNY Geneseo (2-7): Only Kate Barba averages more than two kills per set for the Knights (2.53) while both Maddi Gamberg (1.77 kps) and Maddy Baumann (1.74 kps) serve as next level offensive options for setters Carolyn Mack (3.78 assists per set) and Jenna Garvey (3.36 aps). Zooey Gagnier also chips in 3.42 digs per set.
