Clarkson will host St. Michael's College out of Burlington, VT for the first time at Cheel Arena. The two programs met for the first time ever last season in Burlington, 9-0 & 14-0 wins for the Golden Knights. This will mark the final non league action for the Knights this season.
Clarkson's last action was a 4-3 ot win in ECAC action vs rival St. Lawrence. The Knights sit in 2nd place in the ECAC with 19.5 points.
For the Knights, the Holiday brought some good cheer as defender Andrea Trnkova will be back in the line up. The transfer played in her first 8 games but has been sidelined for the last 11. She had 2 goals and 4 assists and was named an ECAC Pre Season All Star.
Knights notes:
- Clarkson is 11-1 when scoring first and are 8-0 when leading after 2 periods of play. The Dec. 6th win vs SLU marked the first time the Knights have won when trailing after 2 periods. They were 0-3-1 before that win.
- Going by the numbers....24, 25, 26: Kate Manness (#24), Sena Catterall (#25), & Sara Manness (#26) lead the team in multi point games with 4, 6, & 5 respectively. Clarkson is 6-0 when Sena records 2 or more points.
- She shoots and scores....Lara Beecher leads the teams in shots taken (72) and tied for goals (7)
- Clarkson is 8th nationally in Team Face Off Win %, with .555%. Rhea Hicks leads by percentage with a .653% and Sara Manness leads with 225 total wins (.611%)
