Alana Alpert

Alana Alpert came to Clarkson in the fall of 2014 and served as the athletic trainer with the Golden Knights' three-time NCAA National Champion Women's Hockey program through the 2017-18 season. She was promoted to Head Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2017. 

A native of Murrieta, CA, graduated from San Diego State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Athletic Training, she also earned a Master of Science Degree in Sports Management from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota in 2012.

While at St. Cloud State, Alpert worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with its Division I women’s hockey team. She worked at Finlandia University from 2004–2006 as the Head Athletic Trainer and provided care and coverage to all 13 of its Division III athletic teams. Following her stint at Finlandia, she moved on to work with women’s ice hockey at St. Lawrence University from 2006-2012. 

Alpert frequently works with USA Hockey, attending their National Team Camp in Lake Placid in 2012 and U18 Camps at St. Cloud, MN from 2016-2018. She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Performance Enhancement Specialist, is certified in Functional Movement System (FMS) Level 1, is Kinesiotaping Level I and 2 trained, is Graston M1 trained, is an American Heart Association CPR instructor, and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA), and the NY State Athletic Trainers’ Association (NYSATA).
