With artwork featuring former Golden Knight Hockey greats, crowds at Cheel Arena and the Clarkson University Pep Band, Taylor Salisbury ’12 presented the winning illustration for senior goaltender Cody Rosen’s Helmet Redesign Contest.
Rosen, a native of Kingston, Ontario and a 2010 NHL Draft choice of the NY Islanders, held a contest this past spring to have someone create the artwork on his goaltending mask for the 2012-13 season. Salisbury’s design was chosen from many creative entries. Rosen, who will wear the helmet throughout the upcoming season, will present Salisbury with the helmet at the completion of the Golden Knights’ 2012-13 campaign.
All proceeds raised through the $5.00 entry fee donation for the Cody Rosen’s Helmet Redesign Contest benefited the Cancer Society’s Relay For Life charity. Rosen would like to thank everyone who participated in the redesign contest, which raised a significant sum of money for a worthy charity.
Come see Taylor Salisbury’s design on Cody Rosen’s helmet when the Clarkson Hockey team begins the 2012-13 season against Carleton University on October 7 at Cheel Arena. Get an up close personal look at the helmet at “Skate With A Knight” following the game which begins at 4:00 p.m.
