Last season the Golden Knights' men placed fourth among eight teams just outside the Capital District in Saratoga Springs, the eighth straight year that the team had finished either fourth or fifth in the league. Ryan Recchia had the best finish last season among the Clarkson men, taking 19th among 114 runners in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 26:33.9. John Bell (27th), Jacob Dowman (35th), Lukas Patrizio (37th) and AJ Beers (40th) also were in the top half of the runners at the event, putting the Knights firmly in fourth place, 41 points behind the third place team and 41 points ahead of the fifth place team. With that group of five runners back and bolstered by the likes fo Austin Smith, Alex DeWitt, Paul Moore and others, Clarkson will look to nudge its way up the standings.

The women haven't been as consistent as the men in the last few seasons, but the team has three top five finishes since 2009 and is looking to improve upon their seventh-place finish from 2014. Junior Victoria Hathaway was the runner for Clarkson last year, coming in 38th place among 110 runners in the 6,000-meter event. Chelsea Farinacci is the only runner to be in the top seven for either the men or the women at Clarkson at the conference race in the last three years, finishing 62nd in 2014, 59th in 2013 and 56th in 2012. Tara Seigle (68th), Dana Schmidt (77th), Meaghan McKenna (79th) and Allie Day (80th) were also top runners for Clarkson in 2014. The Knights' hopes for improvement will be helped this year by freshman Sarah Duclos, who most recently won the CCOC race two weeks ago. Classmates Katie Ackner, Aurora Goodwin, and Hannah Phillips, as well as sophomores Alison Davis and Christina Tricomi should also aid Clarkson at the Liberty League Championships.
