A late goal by Dartmouth would force overtime, but the Knights were able to keep their unbeaten streak intact, with a overtime tie and shoot out win.
In the 1st period, Dartmouth scored first at 3:28 into the period with a goal from Cooper Flinton, assisted by Luke Haymes and Nikita Nikora.Â

At 12:27 of the 1st, the Golden Knights answered back and tied the game 1-1 with a power play goal from
Ryan Richardson, assisted by
Jack Judson and
Jesse Tucker. The Knights scored again at 18:07 with a another power play goal this time from
Eric Ciccolini.
Cody Monds would take the pass of the wall from
Ryan Taylor and feed Ciccolini on the back door. The Golden Knights ended the 1st period up 2-1.

The Knights would have a 5 minute power play mid way thru the 3rd period but were unable to score. Then after losing Monds to a game misconduct penalty with 4:35 left in the 3rd, Dartmouth would score a goal to tie the game at 2-2 and push into overtime. The power play goal came at 18:35 into the 3rd from Sean Chisholm with assists from Ian Pierce and John Fusco.

In overtime the major penalty would carry over, so Clarkson would start down 4 on 3.  The penalty expired and action went back and fourth 4 on 4 for the better part of 4 minutes without a whistle. With out a goal, Clarkson went to their first shoot out of the season.

Ryan Taylor went first for the Golden Knights and scored the first and only goal of the shootout. Taylor's shot snuck under the pad of Dartmouth's goalie Cooper Black allowing the puck to cross the goal line as his momentum carried him into the net. Â
Austin Roden would stop all three Big Green attempts to get Clarkson the extra league point.  Roden ends the night with 31 saves, moving to 6-3-1 on the season.

Next the Golden Knights look to keep their 5 game unbeaten streak alive as they take on the Stonehill Skyhawks at Cheel Arena next Friday at 7:00pm.
