The Series: The Golden Knights will face Skidmore College and University of Rochester on Friday and then Middlebury College on Saturday. Clarkson is 24-29 all-time against the Thoroughbreds, but have won 14 straight versus Skidmore dating back to a win in the 2012 Liberty League Championship match. Clarkson is 4-5 against Rochester, but has won three straight, with the last meeting coming in 2017. The Knights are 5-2 all-time against Middlebury, but the Panthers have won the last two matches in four sets in 2021 and 2022.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-4, 2-0 Liberty League): Although three teams have yet to play a conference match, the Golden Knights nevertheless are atop the conference standings as the only unbeaten team thus far. Senior Sara Galante, recently chosen as the Liberty League Performer of the Week, ranks in the top five in the conference in kills per set (3.28, fourth), digs per set (3.26, fourth), aces per set (0.64, third), and points per set (4.04, second). Clarkson has spread out its offense with 10 different players averaging at least 1.00 kills per set, though much of that has been due to distributed playing time due to injuries.

Key Stats for Skidmore (7-7, 1-1 Liberty League): The Thoroughbreds have yet to identify a true go-to offensive threat, as no player averages more than two kills per set. Carolyn Scott is the team leader in that category at 1.95 kills per set, while she is followed closely by Jo Blanco (1.88 kps). Ella Harris is close to a block per set (0.96 bps) and also averages 1.45 kills. Three setters are also averaging more than three assists per set, led by Noa Berger at 4.29 assists per game. Berger also contributed a team-best 0.44 aces per set.

Key Stats for Rochester (9-4): Three players are recording more than 2.50 kills per set for the Yellowjackets. Sonia McGaffigan leads the team with 2.79 kills per set, and is doing so while swinging at a .312 clip. Ruby Moore is next at 2.64 kills per game and she also averages 0.62 aces per set. Ashley Cook has been successful on attacks with a .251 hitting percentage, averaging 2.53 kills per set. Alexia Nelms (5.70 assists per set) and Katie Westerholm (4.62 assists per set) split the setting duties.

Key Stats for Middlebury (6-3): Listed as a setter on the roster, freshman Molly Harrison has found a home as the top hitter for the Panthers. Harrison is averaging 4.00 kills per set with a .342 hitting percentage and 0.89 blocks per set. She has nearly doubled the offensive output of the next hitters for the Panthers, but Katie Kraczkowsky (2.06 kills per set), Ella Pate (2.00 kps), and Ava Tuccio (1.83 kps) are more than capable of putting the ball down as well, with Tuccio hitting .384 and also averaging 1.00 blocks per set. Kelly Ferraro leads the team in both aces (0.71 aps) and digs (5.03 dps).
