The Golden Knights got a much needed overtime win at Harvard thanks to
Anthony Romano's goal at 3:03 of overtime at Bright Landry Hockey Center.
Harvard was able to grab the lead with a short handed goal at 13:39 of the 1st when Joe Miller scored on a break away. Romano got his first of the game late in the first period from Gosselin and Sarsland to tie the game for the Knights. Clarkson would out shoot the Crimson 11-7 in the 1st period.

In the middle frame, Johnson would give the Crimson the lead just :42 seconds into the period and Harvard would carry the lead into the 3rd period.

Clarkson would out shoot Harvard 13 to 6 in the 2nd period, but would not see any fruits to their efforts. In the 3rd the Knights would continue the pressure and at 15:47
Ryan Taylor would get his first goal new year, from
Jesse Tucker and
Trey Taylor.Â

In the overtime, Clarkson would get a odd man break and
Trey Taylor would get the assists when
Anthony Romano sealed it for the Knights at 3:03 of the OT.Â

Clarkson was 0-2 on the power play while holding the Crimson 0 for 2 with their power plays.Â

Emmett Croteau got the win with 21 saves for his 2nd win of the season.

The Knights maintained 4th place in the ECAC with the win and the Union loss in OT. Â

Clarkson will face central NY foes Colgate and Cornell at Cheel next weekend.
