The Series: Clarkson and Ithaca have regularly been at the top of the conference standings since the Bombers entered the league in 2017. For the longest time, Ithaca would take the regular-season contest and the Knights would win in the conference playoffs. That finally changed for the Bombers in 2022 when they came back from a 2-1 deficit to win the tournament title. Since 2017, the two teams are tied at 6-6. Since restarting its program in 2022, William Smith and Clarkson have met three times with the Herons winning twice, both last season, which included a Liberty League semifinals matchup.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-8, 0-0 Liberty League): The Golden Knights won two of their past three this past weekend with solid numbers coming from setter Anna Mayer. The grad student hit better than .500 (11-1-19), averaged nearly eight assists per set, and also contributed on defense with more than two digs per set. Marin Hangliter leads the team in kills at 2.65 per set, which ranks ninth in the Liberty League, while Allyson Treichel isn't far behind at 2.49 kps with a conference-leading hitting percentage of .360.

Key Stats for Ithaca (7-2, 0-0 Liberty League): While Treichel may lead the league in hitting percentage, two Bombers are close to her figure, as Faith Sabatier (.338) and Ella Graper (.328) rank second and third in the league in that category. Graper is also tops in blocks with 1.27 per set. Naomi Clauhs (3.44 kps) and Gabriela Gonzalez-Abreu (3.00 kps) are in the top five in the league in kills and Wesley Slavin's 10.44 assists per set ranks second.

Key Stats for William Smith (9-2, 0-0 Liberty League): The Herons have won six straight matches, led by outside Malya Sayre. The junior leads the conference in kills at 4.00 per set and is also among the defensive leaders with 3.43 digs per set. Hope Von Dohlen (2.90 kps) and Marin Montagne (2.57 kps) also contribute to the offense, with Von Dohlen also averaging 0.69 blocks per set and Montagne producing 2.54 digs per set. Delainy Williams distributes the ball at a 10.76 assists per set clip, the best figure in the Liberty League.
