The Golden Knights, 3rd place in the ECAC and ranked #20 nationally, will travel to Canton and the historic confines of Appleton Arena for tonight's 223rd meeting in the Route 11 Rivalry.  

Clarkson has split the last two weekends, while the Saints come in losing 3 in a row.  Clarkson is scoring 3.09 per game so far this season, while SLU is allowing 3 goals per game against on average.  The Saints are averaging 2.10 goals per game, while the Knights are allowing 2.41 goals per game.  These rivalry games often carry with them extra emotions, which usually means a few more minutes per game of special teams, which could benefit the Knights.  Clarkson is clicking at 22.7% on the power play, while the Saints are killing the man advantage off at an 83.8% rate.  On the power play, the Saints are scoring at a 14.1% pace while the Knights have been strong on the PK, with a 87.3% success rate.  

For Clarkson, they have seen great production from Ayrton Martino and Ellis Rickwood over the last few games.  Martino has 9 goals and 3 assists in his last 6 games, leading the team with points and goals.  His 13 goals is already a career high for the Dallas Stars draft pick.

In net, Ethan Langenegger has been one of the best goalies in the nation, boasting a .913 save percentage and a 2.19 goals against average.  Langengger has been named ot the Richter Award Watch List.  Ethan, along with Martino and Trey Taylor have also been nominated as Hobey Baker Award Candidates and are on the fan vote ballot. 

For Coach Houle, these are his first games in the storied rivalry as a Head Coach.  As a player, JF was part of teams that went 7-1 vs the Saints.
