Clarkson Hosts No. 8 North Dakota Tonight at Cheel Arena

POTSDAM, N.Y. — October 24, 2025 — It's a marquee matchup at Cheel Arena tonight as the Clarkson University Men's Hockey team welcomes national powerhouse North Dakota for the first time in over a decade. The opening faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m., with the game streaming live on ESPN+ and the featured ECAC Game of the Week on SNY.

Clarkson (1-3-0) returns home looking to regain momentum after a challenging early-season road stretch. The Golden Knights have an impressive win over #4 Penn State on the road, which should help them prepare for what they will face with North Dakota.

North Dakota (3-1-0), ranked No. 8 in the national polls, brings one of the nation's most balanced and disciplined lineups to Potsdam. This weekend marks their first trip to Cheel Arena since 1999 and only the eighth all-time meeting between the two storied programs. North Dakota leads the all-time series, 7-0. 

For Clarkson, tonight's contest presents both a challenge and an opportunity. The Knights have seen flashes of elite play early in the season, led by their veteran defensive core and a forward group that continues to generate quality chances. Clarkson's special teams will be a key factor, as the power play has been improving while the penalty kill remains among the team's early strengths. In net, the Knights will look for continued consistency as they face a deep and talented North Dakota attack.
