Clarkson Athletics Mourns the Loss of 2007 HOF Inductee Dan Fay '66

Clarkson University and the Golden Knights' Athletic Department are sad to announce the passing of Clarkson Athletics Hall of Famer (2007) Dan Fay. He passed away on September 13th and was 81 years old.

Fay was a standout for both the Golden Knights' Men's Lacrosse team and the Clarkson Wrestling squad. He was a captain with the men's lacrosse team, but it was on the wrestling mat where he truly shined, going 29-1-2 over the course of three seasons in Potsdam. Dan Fay graduated from Clarkson in 1966 and then spent decades in the North Country serving on the county legislature and as a professor and advisor for his local community.

Fay's funeral is set for Friday, September 19th at 12:00 noon in the St. Mary's Church in Canton, NY.
