The Series: The Golden Knights are just 1-6 against the Herons, having won the first conference match between the two teams back in 2022. Clarkson and William Smith have played one another in the Liberty League Semifinals two years in a row, with the Herons coming out on top both times, including a five-set win in 2024. The Green and Gold is 11-31 all-time against Ithaca, the last victory coming during the 2021 Liberty League Championship match. The two teams also were stretched to five sets in the 2022 conference finals, as the Bombers walked away as the winner.
