One of nine former Clarkson Hockey standouts playing in the National Hockey League this season, Erik Cole, a left wing for the Carolina Hurricanes, got flipped skates over teakettle on November 19 in Raleigh after colliding with a Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman. Cole scored once in the 6-5 Carolina shootout victory.
