earned him billing as one of the top goaltenders in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) during his four-year tenure in the early 1990s. He shared time with Chris Rogles ’93 through his first three seasons and then took sole possession of the starting role in his senior campaign. Currie played in 85 games overall from 1990-94 and posted a 44-25-9 overall record, including four shutouts. He helped to lead Clarkson to two ECAC Tournament Championships (1991, 1993), three NCAA Tournament showings (1991, 1992, 1993), including a Frozen Four berth (1991), and an ECAC Regular Season title during his four-year career. Currie posted a .901 save percentage and a 3.14 goals against average during his career.

Clarkson Major: Finance

Why did you decide to choose Clarkson:
Small school, great hockey and educational programs and proximity to home in Toronto

Favorite Clarkson Hockey moment(s):
NCAA Frozen Four, countless good times with teammates and coaches.  We had a great group all four years and lots of success.

Most Memorable Clarkson teammate(s):
Roommate for four years Patrick Theriault.  Bridging the cultural divide with the Finnish guys.  The whole Class of 1994 (Theriault, Fotheringham, Henrich and Conroy)

Favorite Team to gain a victory over:
Harvard, Cornell.

Favorite Arenas to Play in:
Cheel, Walker and any roads arenas where we won.  Least favourite would be Maine based on those criteria.

Favorite Class/Professor(s):
Lou Ann Lange, Katherine Wears and A. George Davis but I’m sure I’m missing a few great ones.

Favorite memories of Potsdam, North Country:
Embracing the cold particularly during winter break.  Good times with teammates and coaches. The Bali Hai (R.I.P.), after hours.

Where did you live when attending Clarkson:
Townhouses and Riverside

What did you do after Clarkson:
Played one year of hockey before pursuing a Master’s degree and living in New York for seven years.

What are you doing now:
Working at a private equity firm in Toronto and serving on Clarkson’s Board of Trustees where I Chair the Investment Committee and harass hockey alums for money.

Family:
A patient wife (Victoria) and three sons Nick (8), Jack (5) and Tommy (2) none of whom will play goal.

Current Hometown:
Etobicoke, ON

Hobbies:
Driving the kids to hockey for 7 months of the year and recovering the rest.

Any other interesting things about you, or your family you would like to add:
I’d just encourage everyone to re-engage with the program and to support Casey and the guys the best you can.  The experiences I’ve had over the past few years have been tremendous and it’s overwhelming to have been part of a transformation of the campus.  It’s the kind of place where they really appreciate your coming back and I think most guys underestimate the impact they can have.
