Why did you decide to choose Clarkson:
I chose Clarkson because many of my friends that I played at Nichols with (Scott Thomas, Ed Henrich) were there and loved everything about Clarkson. I also grew up playing with Todd Marchant and he felt the same as the others. The brand new Cheel Arena was a big reason too. At the time, it was the best College Facility in the country. I fell in love instantly when I took my recruiting trip there. I got to see the first Clarkson-SLU game at Cheel.

Favorite Clarkson Hockey moment(s):
Winning the ECAC Playoff Championship my Freshman year at Lake Placid (1992). It was the first year the tournament was in Lake Placid and we beat Brown in front of 10,000 people. I think 90% of the crowd was Clarkson fans!

Favorite Team to gain a victory over:
Beating SLU was my favorite for obvious reasons. We went 9-1 against them in my 4 years.

Favorite Arenas to Play in:
I enjoyed playing at St. Lawrence, Cornell, and Vermont the most.

Favorite memories of Potsdam, North Country:
My favorite memories of Potsdam are the people. Clarkson fans very passionate and loyal. Sergi's Pizza Rolls were great too.

We lived on campus in the townhouses.

What did you do after Clarkson:
I played Professional Hockey for eight years for the South Carolina Stingrays, Rochester American, Chicago Wolves, and Lubbock Cotton Kings.

I am currently running a Bar-Restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina. I also have been playing in a Rock Band for the past 3 years called "Dave Seitz and the King Street Band".

Any other interesting things about you, or your family you would like to add:

I'm happy that the Clarkson Hockey Program is in the hands of Casey Jones and Phil Roy. I always thought Casey would be a great Head Coach and I'm sure he can return Clarkson Hockey to where it should be as one the best in the country.

I live in Charleston, South Carolina. I ended up here after playing for the South Carolina Stingrays. I also played for the Rochester Americans and Chicago Wolves, but Charleston was where I wanted to live when I retired from Professional Hockey. It's a great city with a lot of great people.  It's funny, but I came down here originally after speaking with Randy Sieminski and Darren Abbott. A great Clarkson connection! They convinced me to come play for a great organization here with the South Carolina Stingrays. They were right, and I was a part of two Kelly Cup Championship teams and was the Playoff MVP in 2001. When I retired, the Stingrays inducted me into their Hall Of Fame and also retired my number 14. I also just recently got a call from the ECHL and they inducted me into the ECHL Hall Of Fame on Jan. 18th. Obviously this is a huge thrill for me and my family . This wouldn't be possible without the great experience I had at Clarkson. I learned so much about life and hockey. I am forever grateful to Clarkson University, the Hockey Program, and also Mark Morris and his staff for believing in me. It's amazing after hearing about me being inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame, I heard from so many old coaches and players including Mark Morris, Darren Abbott, and Chris Bernard. The Clarkson family is a great thing!
