Plattsburgh, NY - Junior Hilary Lockwood (Victor, NY) struck for nine kills and five aces, hitting at a .421 clip to help lead the Clarkson University Volleyball team to its 22nd win of the season in a three-game sweep at Plattsburgh State, 30-23, 30-18, 30-17, Tuesday night at Memorial Hall.

The Golden Knights improved to 22-14 on the season, tying for the fourth most wins in a season in the program's 33-year history. Plattsburgh dropped to 15-26. Clarkson will host the Liberty League Championships this weekend, starting at 4:00 pm on Friday against St. Lawrence University.

Clarkson controlled the match from the beginning and only grew stronger as it went on. Freshman Jessica Agnew (Queensbury, NY) led the team with 13 kills, hitting .333, while junior Stacy Storms (Marcy, NY) added in 12 kills at a .368 clip. But where Clarkson really enjoyed success was in service aces as Lockwood delivered five of the team's 10 aces.

"After the first couple of points, we settled in at the service line and I thought it was from there we won the game," head coach Johan Dulfer said. "They struggled passing all night and our serves put tremendous pressure on their offense. I'm proud of how we were able to stay focused throughout the match."

Jenna Stock (Johnstown, NY) led the team with 24 assists and added in seven kills. Amanda Rankin (Horseheads, NY) also contributed 15 assists and Alison Schroeder (Webster, NY) dug 15 balls.
