Clarkson fell into an early hole when first period penalties put them down two players on two occasions in which Yale was able to convert.
As the second period started, Clarkson was able to generate chances and converted when
Brooke McQuigge scored at 7:08 with an assist from
Caitrin Lonergan. Clarkson out shot Yale, 15 to 9 in the second period.Â
Clarkson was unable to get the equalizer in the third, trading goals with Yale to lead to a 4-2 final.
Michelle Pasiechnyk ended with 19 saves in the game and Clarkson directed 30 shots on net today. Clarkson was 0 for 1 on the Power Play and was able to kill of 3 of 5 chances for Yale.
