The Clarkson Women's Hockey team has only lost 5 games this season and the recent two game streak was the longest they had endured this season. Today's game was an example of why the Knights have not endured many consecutive losses....the talent they have that steps up when the team needs them.
Down 1-0 and 2-1 to Dartmouth, the Knights fought back led by their top point producers to finish off the Big Green 4-2. Tied after two periods on goals from
Caitrin Lonergan and
Anne Cherkowski, the Knights took control of the third period with goals from
Brooke McQuigge at 15:10 and
Gabrielle David at 19:25 to ice it for Clarkson. Lonergan, David, & McQuigge all ended with a goal and assitt in the game.
Nicole Gosling,
Olivia Hanson,
Haley Winn,
Florence Lessard, and
Kirstyn McQuigge all chipped in with helpers and
Michelle Pasiechnyk made 12 saves while the Knights threw 36 shots on net.
Clarkson will have little time to rest, as they will get back to Potsdam tonight and turn around and head to Colgate on Tuesday for a make up game from earlier in the month.
