Game Recap: Women's Hockey |

#10 Clarkson downs #8 Colgate on the road

Clarkson, playing on short rest, was able to go on the road to Colgate and grab a valuable win over the #8 ranked Raiders.

The Knights and Raiders went scoreless for the first two periods, but the Knights were able to break through when Gabrielle David scored at the 12:21 mark of the third period.

Jenna Goodwin, maybe one of the fastest Knights, got a breakaway several minutes later, to give the Knights a 2-0 lead.  Colgate called a timeout and the move worked as the Raiders scored with 3:47 left in the game.  Colgate got possession inside the Knights zone and pulled Osborne for the extra attacker.  The Knight were able to clear twice and then at 18:42, Anne Cherkowski was able to win a loose puck battle and send the puck into the empty net to finish off the game for the Knights.

Michelle Pasiechnyk made 33 saves in the win, as Clarkson was out shot for only the third time this season.

Morgan Helgeson added an assist on David's goal for her first point of the season.

Clarkson will have a few days off and then will host Quinnipiac and Princeton this weekend.  This will be Youth Hockey Weekend, any youth player 8th grade and under will receive free admission (please wear your teams jersey)
