The Clarkson Golden Knights are off to their best start since the 2018-19 season at 6-1-1.  They took care of business as they faced the Syracuse Orange lead by former assistant coach, Britni Smith, by gaining 2 wins last week.  They will face the Orange again in game #2 of the Icebreaker Tournament this weekend in Lake Placid.  Anne Cherkowski, Darcie Lappan, and Gabrielle David continue to pace the Knights offensively.  Michelle Pasiechnyk and Julie Minotti have combined for 1.23 GAA on the season. 

 

The Knights remain ranked 11th nationally in the DCU/USCHO and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Division I Women's Poll.  The ECAC placed 7 teams in the top 15 of the national poll.   

Clarkson will face the Orange at 7:00 pm in game #2 of the Icebreaker at the 1980 Herb Brooks Arena.  Holy Cross and St. Lawrence will square off in game #1.  Tomorrow the winners will meet at 5:00 pm and the other two teams will play at 2:00 pm.

Clarkson had two tough games with the Orange last weekend and should expect nothing different tonight.  This will be the first time for the Knights skating in the famous 1980 Herb Brooks Arena since they battled Boston College back in December of 2005 to a 1-0 and 2-1ot wins.
