For the third straight game the Golden Knights faced the Orange of Syracuse University in game #2 of the night at the Icebreaker in Lake Placid's 1980 Herb Brooks Arena.
 
The Knights jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Darcie Lappan scored at 3:02 of the first period.  For Lappan it is her 6^th goal of the season. 

The Knights would pour on all kinds of pressure for the next 45+ minutes with nothing to show on the scoreboard until Anne Cherkowski scored at 16:20 of the 3^rd to put the Knights up 2-0. 

Syracuse would call a time out with 3 min to go and pull their goalie but the Knights were able to get several chances at the open net until with just over a minute left, Darcie Lappan got her 2^nd of the game to ice it for the Knights.

Michelle Pasiechnyk would make 20 saves for her 3rd shutout of the season.  Clarkson held SU to 0 for 1 on the power play.  Gabrielle David would get an assist along with Stephanie Markowski.  Lappan ends with 2 goals and 1 helper, while Cherkowski had 2 assists along with her goal.

Clarkson will face St. Lawrence in the Championship game tomorrow at 5:00 pm
