The Clarkson Golden Knights fell to the Yale Bulldogs 3-1 to open the 2023 portion of the season.
Yale would take a 1-0 lead in the first at 3:33 when Charlotte Welch would score on a shot from the high slot. In the 2
nd period, the Bulldogs would extend their lead to 2-0 at 11:14 when Anna Bargman scored.
Yale would go up 3-0 in the 3
rd when Bargman got her 2
nd of the game, but the Knights were able to strike back quickly to make it a 2-goal game again when
Sena Catterall scored at 3:41.
Nicole Gosling would get an assist on the goal.
The Knights would pull their goalie for the extra attacker, but were not able to pull any closer.
Michelle Pasiechnyk would finish with 29 saves. Clarkson went 0 for 4 on the power play and killed off 3 of 3 on the penalty kill.
Tomorrow the Knights will face Brown at 3:00 pm, fans are reminded that admission is free for all. With Clarkson set to host the University Games Hockey, enhanced security measures will be in place as fans enter Cheel.
