POTSDAM, NY – The Clarkson Women's Hockey team would spot Princeton a 2-goal lead, but a hat trick from
Stephanie Markowski would help the Knights storm back and force OT and
Anne Cherkowski's goal in overtime would complete the comeback.
Princeton would jump out to a quick 2-0 lead in the 1st period, thanks to their Olympian, Sarah Fillier's two goals.
Clarkson would make it 2-1 when
Stephanie Markowski would get her first of three on the night at 10:03 on the 2nd period. Princeton would get the lead back to 2 goals at 13:13 with a power play goal.

Another "ski" would get in on the goal-scoring when
Sara Swiderski would notch her first goal as a Golden Knight on the power play at 15:55. Markowski would tie the game at 18:16 of the 2nd with her 2nd of the game.
In the 3rd, Princeton would get a power-play goal on a penalty that carried over from the end of the 2nd. Markowski would complete the hat trick at 5:33 and tie the game. The Knights would get several chances late, but extra time was needed.
The Knights would get possession off the face-off and keep control as they entered into the Tigers zone.
Haley Winn would take the puck to the net and get a shot off and the rebound would wind up on
Anne Cherkowski's stick with a wide open net for the win just 22 seconds into overtime.
Michelle Pasiechnyk would make 18 saves for the win.
Clarkson was 1 for 2 on the power play, Princeton was effective, going 3 for 4 on the power play.
Clarkson will face Quinnipiac tomorrow at 3:00 pm.
