NEW HAVEN, CT – After an emotional and exhausting win Friday, the Knights were unable to get past Colgate in the ECAC Championship game on Saturday. Two goals each from Serdachny and Biederman paced the Raiders to an 8-2 win over the Knights.
Colgate would strike early, getting on the board just 1:27 into the game. The Raiders would add two more before the end of the period and take a commanding 3-0 lead.
In the 2nd frame, the Knights were able to outshoot the Raiders but, Colgate added 2 more goals to take a 5-0 lead.
Anne Cherkowski would get the Knights on the board at 4:28 of the 3rd, which gave the Knights some hope for a comeback. Colgate would put the game out of reach at 11:10 of the 3rd and would make it 8-1 before
Brooke McQuigge would get a power-play goal at 17:06 for the Knights.
Michelle Pasiechnyk would make 20 saves for the Knights. Clarkson was 1 for 5 on the power play, while Colgate was 1 for 4 on the power play.
Clarkson will await the
NCAA Selection Show on Sunday at noon on ESPN+ or ESPN News to see if they get their 11th NCAA Bid in program history.
