A former three-sport star for the Golden Knights and a 1995 Inductee into the Clarkson University Athletic Hall of Fame, Bill Fiesinger celebrates his 96th birthday today.
Born on April 23, 1916, Fiesinger enjoyed an outstanding collegiate career for the Green and Gold in the mid-1930s, participating in three of the premier sports at the college – football, basketball and baseball. A 1937 Clarkson graduate, Fiesinger, who later went on to serve as Clarkson's Alumni Director, also acted as the college's athletic director from 1974 until his retirement in 1979 and played a major role in keeping the Golden Knights very competitive in intercollegiate competition.
